Frustrated
I'm really angry and frustrated...
Super irritated.......
Feel like strangling someone. Omg.
Maybe I should go find a little hole to dig and hide into it.
I hate stupid people.
I HATE STUPID PEOPLE!
incl.that part of me.

[Geeky Post] Cubecart + Dreamhost
== Caution, geeky posting. Non geeks, read at your own risk :P or just skip to the bottom ==
================================================
Just a quick note to self:
Replace all
----------------------------------
Omg, another breakthrough for me again. Venturing in to PHP, something that I have totally no experience of and looked extremely daunting.
Story is that I am migrating printeet.com into a web cart and I adopted cubecart. I bought an image uploader module to use on my cubecart and my dreamhost and found that it could not work at all. It kept throwing me the "image is not a valid type" error, even though when my silly image file is the right type. I've been bugged by it for more than 1 week already!!!
I emailled the mod author but they didn't get back to me (after 5 days) and I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to just debug it using my basic debugging principles. Print lines! But apparently I have no freaking idea how to print lines on PHP and so I googled until i found firephp. Apparently I had no freaking idea how to install it again. Damn it. And whacked around for 1 hour before finally figuring out how to throw a simple trace for PHP apps.
I searched for each variable individually for freaking 3 hours until I finally managed to find the error message variable and traced it to this if else statement which had: getimagesize($
I was trying my luck and logged the out put of it and the weirdest part is the getimagesize kept giving me null even though I uploaded a right file. Then suddenly an epiphany hit me and I googled the keywords, HTTP_POST_FILES and dreamhost and voila! The solution presented by itself in: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Register_long_arrays
I tried it out and it solved my problem!!!!
Haha and I'm a happy girl once again but then again... 1 freaking variable can cause so much distress. It's like wtf.
===============================
Moral of the story is: There is always a way out. It is a matter of much you want it.
Sorry for the disjointed thought processes. It's 4.26am inthe morning! How I wished there were 48 hours in a day!!!!
wheee

Some days you feel like...
crap. I guess this is one of the mornings where you feel terrible and then you're in a detached mode.
What's this.
Ah well.

Me being the bitch again.... here's what I emailed Singtel
Hi, I'm complaining regarding the MOBILE BROADBAND DEVICE that was bundled with our 4MBps Singtel ADSL line for business that we just subscribed (We're paying nearly $300 a month and are considering a leased line service in the future if things goes well). Apparently, we are unable to connect to the device till date. (More than 1 week since we received the device) and nobody can find out what's wrong. I've sent in emails, called up tech support but to no avail. We have been patient about it but 1 week of not being able to surf via the broad band mobile and NO explanation of what's happening just does not cut it. It is ridiculous! Please rectify this ASAP, whether it is to change the device or check the connection on your side.
